Effulgent Treatment Plant: ETP purifies the wastewater by removing toxic materials & chemicals from it to ensure pollution free water, which is then reused for multiple purposes.We have setup ETP’s across our manufacturing plants in order to lower water pollution levels and reuse water to lower overall consumption levels. Current capacity is at 200 CBM.

we are heavy dependent on groundwater to meet our water demand. As a result, the groundwater level is decreasing day by day.
To secure our future (business & domestic) needs, we have to find alternatives. Rainwater is one of the option which is as pure as groundwater, in some areas the quality even better. For this reason we are going to collect rainwater from our factory catchment area
- The factory has = 17260 square meters catchment
area. - which can harvest = 27795 cubic meter rainwater
annually

Brief history of Contribution towards Planet & Society
- We are going to setup two certified GREEN FACTORY at Asulia and Mowna,Bangladesh. They will be equipped with the lasted technologies in order to reduce our carbon footprint, and lower pollution. Our goal is to reduce environmental pollution due to industrialization.
- Tree Plantation Program to the local community.
- We have Setup training center at Bea-con Knit Wear Ltd. (Factory-2) & Metro Knitting & Dyeing Mils Ltd. (Factory-2) under supervision of ILO/SEIP.
- Contribution to numerous charity organization help the people in need.

In past 7 years we have managed to reduce water usages about 50%.

Project Trishna, implemented in 2015, is a social venture designed by Footsteps to holistically address the drinking water challenges in communities across Bangladesh. The venture was initially implemented to address the needs of pedestrians by setting up safe water systems in public spaces which were funded by donor individuals and private corporations under the venture’s Corporate Social Responsibility platform.
In November 2022, with support from Panam Group Footsteps has installed water purification system in 2 different schools in Narayanganj, which are giving access to safe drinking water to the school students, school staff, and nearby community members.

– Ensure access to safe drinking water in target sites and communities.
– Build value for safe water so the community understands the importance of drinking safe water for their social and economic wellbeing.
– Engagement with the local community to understand the viewpoint of the target beneficiaries on the access to safe drinking water.
